Natalia Alonso is a native New Yorker of Spanish heritage. She trained at the Fedicheva Ballet, Boston Ballet and Alvin Ailey before joining Ballet Hispanico in 2001. She received accolades for her work with the company on Dance Magazine’s cover story of August 2008.

Alonso has toured and danced on the world’s most acclaimed theaters, as well as worked with choreographers such as Alonzo King, Sergio Trujillo, and Bradley Shelver on freelance projects. She has been seen in commercial publications, such as Discount Dance, and on several TV specials. Alonso received a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University and is a certified GYROTONIC® Instructor. In 2010, she accepted the role of Maria Tallchief in the Lincoln Center Theater play, Nikkolai and the Others. Ms. Alonso is currently performing for the Metropolitan Opera, as well as teaching ballet and contemporary dance.
